I work compressed shifts which means I am home 3 and 4 days a week. But it also means I am gone 3 and 4 days a week for 12 hours at nite. Pepper is 15 months old but for my piece of mind I leave him in his xpen. Food, water, potty pad, blankies, his crate, and toys. I don't think he ever uses his crate anymore so may take that out to give him more room. I don't have the luxury of getting to come home to let him out, as I work 30 minutes away, so I think this is the safest situation for Pepper and I. I have run to town for an hour or so and if he doesn't go with me, I have been leaving him in the living room and dining room and when I get home he is usually waiting for me on the couch.
