I would
never pretend to know more than a vet. If the vet sends him home and says to feed him...then yes, boiled chicken and rice should be perfect. As for fluids...ask the vet. Although, it sure wouldn't hurt to have the Pedia on hand...ask your vet what he thinks.
And I still think it's good just to have Pepto on hand for the occasional stomach upset. In my life, these things have come along with some regularity with these lively little pooches.
