I have less faith in the intentions of doctors because I know many of them go into it to win the approval of their parents, or the money (though not so much this now), or the prestige.

One of our favorite jokes in Nursing School was "Whadya call the person who graduates the bottom of their Medical class?"......"A Doctor"

. And that's the same for all professions - some are good, some are bad - some have intentions that are spot-on, some have intentions that are all about themselves.
I agree with what you're saying about doctors, both bc I have 2 in my family and bc I met a ton of them when they were in pre-med, and when I was in Nursing. They get into the field for ALL sorts of reasons, not all of them admirable.
