I work as a medical transcriptionist. I love it!!! I started out going to school to be an accountant, and during my second year I got married, and realized that I wanted to have kids and would never be able to leave them alone. So I went to school and became a medical transcriptionist. I started out working at a local hospital, and now I work from home for a national company. The pay is good and since I telecommute, I don't have to worry about the job market in my small town (which kinda stinks--even before the big economy down turn). I live in Tennessee and work for a company out of Chicago, working on hospital accouts in Hollywood, Corpus Christi and the Atlanta area. So I am not limited by my geographic area.
There is also the plus side of working in my pjs
