Oh! I should totally correct my post. I meant that you shouldn't get a small dog like my little teacup poodle (or even like my 4 pound yorkie). If it's a bigger dog, then there should be less of a problem. Of course you'll still have to watch to make sure everything is going well, especially when he's still a pup.
With the right dog and the right guidance, the experience can be very positive for children!
