It's so hard being out of the US because you never know what policies carry over, like the anti-discrimination laws. I haven't tried to take Meg on Korean Air for the very same reason. I would rather pay more for a ticket on a crappy United plane (as opposed to a luxiourant Korean Air plane) just so that I can deal with a US company and know what the policy is.
