We got Rowdy for my husband who has several chronic illnesses and had to retire unexpectedly. He was home all day and very lonely (I work) so we decided to get Rowdy - well, an unnamed version of Rowdy. Anyway, he was such a tiny little guy when we got him and my husband suggested, Skeeter, Scooter, and something else I can't remember. Anyway, I held out because it just didn't seem like the names fit. My hubby had to go into the hospital and one day a nurse was helping him walk in the hall. He had all manner of tubes, IV pole, and whatnot. It took her a while to get everything organized so that she could manage the tubes, poles, etc, and my hubby could walk behind her. When she got everything ready to go she turned to him and said, "Come on Rowdy, let's go." He and I just looked at each other, smiled and we said almost simultaneously, "Rowdy! that's it" Ever since that day, our little guy has been Rowdy! A really funny coincidence is that when we got Rowdy's registration papers and pedigree, one of his grandfathers was also named Rowdy. We were totally amazed!!!
