He is constantly gagging with fluid coming out of his nose......the vet said that there is nothing we can do but continue to tube feed him as we had..and just pray for the best..about every 4 hours with 4mL formula.
He said it was most likely just a failure to flourish....and couldnt describe what was wrong

I just feel there should be something more I can do.....its so sad to see this happen. But I understand if there is nothing I can do.....just want as many opinions as possible.

Thanks
I am so sorry, it hurts so much to lose one. I'm sure your Vet x-rayed for any obstruction. My chipper, he's an 'ol man now, has a shrinking (shrunk) trachea and has to use an Inhaler twice a day or he gags for air and gags his food. With the Inhaler and harness instead of collar when on a lease, - he's back to normal. But the Vet barely caught it as he was x-raying his lungs ... and he showed the other Vets, so maybe not all of them look for that. I understand it is not uncommon for small dogs. It's just a thought, and your baby is so very tiny. I guess sometimes it just isn't meant to be.
