If your living in a apartment that accepts dogs , then this should not be a problem. My yorkie only barks when she hears something annoying, loud, or alarming. She does not bark all the time or consistently. I have never have any complaints about her .
IMO, The Poodles and Poms , are more yappier then the Yorkie's . However that is just what I have observed. Toy breeds do tend to like to bark more , in general. however, The yorkie is perfect for apartment living.
