It is so important that you get your puppy to the vet. If you have any doubt how serious of a situation this is there is a story here about Teagan. He was stepped on at first he was able to walk but with time his injury because worse until he was not able to stand, walk, and was surrendered to rescue because he needed surgery to reattach the ligament that was severed in his spine. His former owner waited almost 8 weeks before surrendering him and it almost cost him the ability to ever walk again. Please take him to the ER vet to be seen. Time is of the essence with a spinal injury and sometimes the severity will not show up immediately. Just because he seems to be sleeping and fine now does not mean he will be that way in a few hours or even tomorrow.
