$20 for 1/2 hour? Wow! Don't want to make you feel bad, but it's $20 a day for our daycare, $16 for partial day. Of course prices in NY are probably very high compared to here. We aren't in one of the larger cities either.
PS: Meant to add above that for all-day dogs there is naptime from 11:30 - 1:30. Dogs are separated out for their naps. They also board dogs. Seems to be pretty popular place. Don't think there's another one in town.
