Congradulations on your new puppy These little ones are very much like human babies. They want to be held and loved , given attention a lot . Your new baby is getting used to being w/o his littermates or his mom. + he is in a brand new home, with brand new people. It's all new to him ! It will take time for him to adjust.
I would suggest , treating him like a little prince> he needs time to bond and feel secure with you. Are you his primary caregiver, his owner, his new mommy? If so, then it's up to you to be there for him, and shower him right now. I would also feed him . Allow him to eat and drink whenever he wants to.
Does he have acess to the whole house? and has there been visitors over? If so, he maybe feeling very overwhelmed by all the activites. He needs a quiet stressfree time for the next few days. Puppies sleep a lot.
I would gently allow him to fall asleep in your arms at times, or in his cozy own bed. Let him be. Pet him often, reassure him, let him know you are there, and he's not alone.
What name have you decided? can you post pictures? I bet he is sooo adorable !
I brought my Suzi home when she was going on 9 weeks old. I had no idea this was too young for a yorkie. However she did well. I was home all day with her. the first day though, was hard.
