I was wondering if you had the surgery or decided to wait. Mine was in heat but her parts are not as swollen anymore. She has changed her personality, though. She used to play hard with a male (fixed) maltese she is friends with but not anymore. She is excited to see him and licks him for a minute but cowards down when he begins to play like he used to. After a short amount of time, she'll go "psycho" (term we lovingly call her when she goes after him to let him know he's gone too far). Before the heat cycle, she could play with him for hours and he would be the one that would get tired. I hope she will go back to her normal self. Thanks!!
