Usually Shelby will bark and run to the kitchen or to the front door for what I think is no reason...... and she would continue to do so. apparently when she does this, she is seeing or hearing something that I don't notice (may a bird or squirrel??). I was able to stop the continued barking by picking her up and going to the front door and saying "Oh my, what do you see and hear...... thank-you for letting me know!"....... Once I "acknowledge" that she has successfully got my attention to look at what she is barking at she quiets down............ it is worth a try!
