Default How to choose a Veterinarian

Choosing a Veterinarian is one of the most important factors in your pet's health. As with all professions, not all Vets are created equal - so it is important to choose a vet who meets your expectations in providing optimal health care for your pet.

A few things to consider:

*do they follow the most current vaccine protocol?
*do they practice an appropriate and safe anesthetic protocol for yorkies?
*do they offer the option of transport for a sick pet if the office isn't staffed 24/7?
*where do they refer to for specialty cases? (a good Vet will have a referral network and should feel comfortable referring to specialists, when needed)
