It takes a long time to find a good groomer. You can call all the places in the phone book near you and ask them what they know about Yorkies.
I got very lucky in San Diego, I had a wonderful groomer, she's worked with Yorkies for 24 years. I'm now looking for a new groomer in NC, it's not easy!
I'm not sure why it takes so long. Princess won't go in a crate, so in SD they got her done right away. She was only there for an hour or so, but never 5 hours, that's way too long. I don't think they are playing with them. I think they crate them and work on other furbabies. At least that's what I was told in SD
