Well, I would highly suggest the Canon Powershots. They've always taken GREAT pics and my family all have Powershots. Very clear and crisp photos. They're not under $100, but the cheaper ones range from $130-$170. I think it's worth it paying an extra $30 for a better camera.

Canon - Powershot 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Blue - A480

This is the cheapest Canon and I have no experience with it.

I know a ton of people with this camera:
Canon - PowerShot 10.0-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera - Silver - SD790 IS
And they LOVE it. The pictures are very clear and crisp. I know it's more than you were willing to spend but it's actually on sale for $170 at Best Buy when it's usually $200. Here's a few pictures taken with that exact model..
