I was reading the poem out loud to my boyfriend. I was only half way into the poem when I got to the part of the relocation. Our baby, Kaia has completely transformed our lives and we couldn't imagine what life would be like without her.
Thanks for posting this. It's so sad but true for so many people who don't realize how much of a commitment getting a pet is!
