i am getting mine professionally done just this year. when we bought the house last year, it had been vacant for almost a year and the yard was horrible!
anyway, before i agreed to any company, i specifically asked them if the treatments were "dog friendly." they are a large company so i do not feel they would need to be dishonest with me for any reason (too much to lose for them!) and they said i would need to keep the dogs off for about 3 days. i keep them off for at least 5 days just to be safe
