I am so worried

The vet said to take her food up at 8:00 the day before her surgery. She will be staying overnight. I am to pick her up wednesday afternoon/evening.
Based on you all's previous experience .........What else am I to expect? How long will it take for her to recover? Will her personality change
I read something about putting pajamas on. Is it any specific kind?
She will also be getting teeth extracted if need and microchipped.
