I'm devastated. She was out for the last pee break of the evening and her sister was staying with us. They were tussling over a stick and off she went from the single step on the deck and fell badly.
We went to the emergency vet and here it is a holiday weekend, so I am awake now waiting for a referral to an orthopaedic unit somewhere in the UK that is open and doing surgery on this weekend. She has broken the fibula and caused damage to the elbow joint and has been away from us last night on pain killers and in a stabalising bandage.
She was so brave, but I feel sick all of the time thinking I should have not let them play
