Default Seperation Anxiety

I have a Black Lab (Buddy formally Othello) who went through a year of retraining for Anxiety Seperation. Destroyed new furniture, brand new mattress and box spring (less that a week old), carpets, need I go on Anything and Everything. We traveled 2-3 hours once a week for a year, he was enrolled in a free study or Anx. Sep. After a year he had overcome almost all of his problems. Another dog in the house was not a answer, so getting a second dog doesn't work. Your time is meant to be spent with your little one. Crate training was a joke, that only increased his anxiety and frustration. He destroyed 2 good quality crates.

Find some some resources, a vet that can help with a mild calming medication, I only used mine for 6 weeks and a good check-up. A book and lots of checking on the internet for anxiety seperation syndrome. What your pup is displaying sounds real close only Buddys cam in Lab Size . Just one suggestion don't give up, the effort and the time are well worth it. My Buddy is now almost 12 yrs old and weighs 70#, he is helping with my Little One and he was my training for that patience that we sometimes lose.

Good Luck
