If you look up breeding standards on the internet it'll probably tell you that it's a made up classification probably by people who are breeding underweight dogs for 'cuteness' and profit and not to advance the breed. I don't mean to offend. I did a great deal of research before I got my Amelia. I was concerned that anything under a certain weight would be financially a hardship what with the increased chance of illness what with the size and all............ But yours is just precious!" 
I usually save my sarcasm for family but no one disses the baby!
