And he just picks up a piece of it and comes into the living room and places it on the floor ....... then again and again.....I go and put it back and he just repeats the action again..
When he is hungry he just gobbles his food up...... we sorta thought it's some kind of message to us.

Is it possible he thinks he's hiding it? Dogs don't have the greatest vision.
Or hey, maybe he IS trying to communicate with you. Does the kibble spell out any words?
