Can you get a dog walker / take him to doggy daycare? Do you have a neighbor, maybe with a friendly dog, who could take him for a few hours in the day? Is there no way that you can adjust your schedule to visit with him several times per day?
You can get interactive toys that will occupy your dog during the day. However, if you're going back and forth about keeping him, I'm thinking maybe he should be re-homed. I honestly can't imagine a situation where I could give up Thor, and I would be willing to make major sacrifices to make sure he has the attention he needs. Yorkies are very needy, so if you're not willing to figure out how to make him a major part of your life, maybe it would be better to put him somewhere he can get what he needs.
