I do it my self because most of the vets want to do this at 3 days old with hese tiny yorkies you have to wait until there old enough to do there dew claws and tails this is the safest way to do them there is no blood and it seals the end of the tail. I also do not like to take my puppies otu of the house at this age especially to a vet people take ther dogs to the vet when there sick my puppies would be very prone to anything at this age this protects them from that
