hi there, my heart bleeds for you! i had the same problem with my king charles spaniel. this is called seperation anxiety, (so my vet says).. the crate is a good idea because the like small spaces, it makes them feel safe, try this, get your coat on, get your car keys, or wotever you take when you leave the house, leave and enter imiediatly, dont make any fuss of the dog when you return, do this up to ten to twenty times, this gives the dog the idea that you are going to return, each time dont make any fuss of the dog when you return, just take your coat off. wait a few minutes and do the same, after a while she wont bother what you are doing, each time leave it a little longer before you return, soon she will realise that theres nothing to worry about, it took me a full weekend of leaving, waiting in the garden a few minutes, (all the while listening to her crying) before she just stopped! she knew then mommy was going to come home. good luck i do hope this helps. it worked for me.x
