I know this is one of those heated topics that we'll all have to agree to disagree. We all have our opinions on this topic but at the end of the day I think we can all agree that all pets are special and beautiful in their own way.
However, I have been wondering about this for a very long time and I don't know if it's already been asked but, who created the standard for our beloved yorkie, or any breed for that matter? Was it the breeders? The specific breed club (like the YTCA)? Or was it based on buyers demand? (for example, way back when, before the standard was set most people thought the Gold and Blue yorkie was the prettiest color and was what people were buying so that's how it became the standard.) I'm just wondering!
