I agree with you.
The pay is horrible for some vets if you don't own your own practice.
There may be people here and there that go into it for the money but they are in for a surprise. Sixty to seventy thousand dollars a year right now is not an extreme amount of money, especially with over fifty thousands dollars worth of debt from school.
That said, I do trust some vets and I don't trust others.
Some of the vets in the area I wouldn't allow to lay a hand on Ellie.
But then there are two in particular that, in an emergency, I could just say, "Fix her" and not ask questions about their procedures and know that she was in great hands. That doesn't mean I necessarily agree with everything that they do or don't do, but I know that I, as the owner, will always be heard and nothing would ever be done that I wasn't comfortable with without permission.
Ellie's vet has never ever been greedy or dishonest to us.
If somebody really feels like their vet is greedy or dishonest, I think it's time to find a new one...
