I admit it sounds uncaring... but the last time I was in the ER clinic...there were 4 people there who could not afford the cost of treatment. I do not believe any vet should be expected not to get paid soley because of their profession. MD's all demand payment on treatment...why should vets be any different and why are they degraded because of this? The sole reason they do not accept monthly payments is some people chose not to make those either or skip out on paying entirely.

I believe it is the owner's responsibility to plan for these things...whether from insurance, a savings plan, or putting it on a credit card.

Personally if someone feels their vet is "out to get them"...they should be looking for a new vet. I have never felt that way about ours.
