I will only say this.. as a small hobby breeder... I have found many reason's to distrust vets in general.. if one is having problems with a momma after a whelping or in my case a c section to take out a baby that had come down one horn to go back up the other side and had died.. she had to be removed by C section.. the vet did not know she could have some pain meds..it was another breeder that told me this.. and until then Mara had to be given sub q fluids daily or every two days..once I gave pain meds once.. she no longer needed subq fluids.. why would a vet not know this and it took a breeder of yorkies to get my baby on the mend.. not to mention the cost this cost me watching her pain then the financial part was sad too... that I had to indeed tell the vet it was ok...
