I don't really see it as being
that much different from *some* of the other various registries that allow 'registration' for mixed breed dogs except you don't get a pedigree with a list of the other dogs in the line. I know there are some registries that actually list the mixed breeds by their "designer names." AKC (like some other registries) would not be doing that.
I think that with the AKC though, they are requiring the dogs to be s/n?
(Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
