Do you take him on walks or just let him out in the yard? If you do take him for walks how often and how long are the walks? It just sounds like he has built up energy that he hasn't been able to get out...additional exercise may help with his energy.
There's also the fact that yorkies are notorious for being "yappy". It may just be part of his personality, but I'm sure theres ways to help. When he's barking make sure you dont pick him up. Some may think that will quiet their dog, but it's really just endorsing the behavior.
Have you looked into working with a trainer? One on one training would probably work better than a group setting. I hope you find something that works for him!
