There's a special way to feel the trach to tell. I can't describe it to you and I wouldn't advise you to do it if you don't know how to do it b/c I don't know if it could injure your baby's trach furthur. I would suggest that next time you take him/her to the vet for their check up or shots you specifically ask the vet to check for it. All they have to do is feel a certain area of the throat.
