You can use a few or all of the panels and make it many sizes. You can use it as a pen, or as a gate. I use it as a gate for a large irregular opening between the kitchen/dining and the living room. It's 28" high so it's tall than most. And, what I really like is it has vertical bars so they can't use their feet to climb or jump over and out. It's metal & not breakable plastic, but also light enough that I can move it easily to clean, reshape, etc. It's been worth every penny.
