Its unnecessary in my opinion...people will say that it is to 'avoid tail injuries' but i think they use this as an excuse to justify their actions because deep down they know that it is wrong...they will also say it is done for 'hygeine reasons'...if Pixie has ever got messy around her back-end, it is never on her tail, it will end up on the hair down her back legs...and i'm not going to have those removed!
I have watched many a docking video where the puppies are so obviously squealing in pain..it just breaks my heart...we all love and cherish our furbabies and want to protect them from pain so why would you want to cut parts of their bodies off just to make them look 'cuter' or 'prettier' to our eye? I just don't understand this at all...and i'm not posting this to rattle anyones cage...its just my total honest opinion.
I for one think the yorkie looks wonderful with a full tail held high in pride and confidence..and the sooner the Top Show Yorkies around the world are being shown with a complete tail, the sooner everyone will accept it...I'm very very happy it is banned here in the UK.
