Almost all puppies/dogs eat when they're hungry. My little one was 1 1/2 lbs at 5 1/2 mos her tummy would growl and when she wouldn't eat I would get really nervous, I tried everything, even soft food, well, I found out real quick, when she was hungry, she would go out there and eat her food, it was down 24/7. She is now 11 1/2 mos and 2 3/4 lbs and she still doesn't eat much, but, she eats when she's hungry
