Yes, they're recognized by AKC but, can't be shown as the coloring is a fault. I think they're popular because they're really cute, just a little expensive I think for not being able to be shown. I don't think all the parti breeders are byb's, but, I don't feel they should be sold for as much as they are when AKC considers them a fault
