Leave the food down, if you want, count out the pieces and then in the morning, count them again. Most all dogs will eat when hungry, make sure you don't give him any of your food. There are at least 2 reasons for this. one is if he eats people food, he won't want his food, and 2 it can cause pancreatitis. if this keeps up, get ahold of your vet
