Even if that company produced foods with the most wholesome ingredients in the world, I would NOT recommend feeding ANY food produced a a Diamond Dog Food Plant. My recommendations stem from the way the company handled the whole episode of the tainted dog food and the notification (or lack thereof) to their dealers and customers. Dogs were dying, they knew it and they were way too slow to recall. This was a long time ago, but I was feeding Diamond food to our Boxer and I found out about the problem from my local feed dealer who found out through the grapevine and called me to warn me.

I was not using the specific variety that was tainted (thank goodness) but the way Diamond treated their customers WAS not what I would expect from a company that was selling tainted food.
