Thank you!
I'm glad to be here... I love my new yorkie.. I've never owned or even knew anything about this breed until I stumbled upon him.... I fell in love with him after a few days... After posting flyers and searching classified lost ads, I decided to try the vet to check for a chip.... I already was falling for this little guy... I though I was ok, but right when I sat down to fill the form at the vet before they scanned for a chip, I started crying and crying... I was just sure he was going to have a vet.... He was sooo adorable and sweet... Who would just abandon him!!
I thought the people working at the vet were going to think I was nuts crying over a puppy I just found 2 weeks ago.... I think it was approx. two weeks when I went to check for a chip....
Anyway... he didn't have one... Right after that is when he had an exam and the vet found the scabies. At that time Benjamin was pretty week and acting lethargic.... I wasn't sure why he was so tired and spacey... I just thought he was tired... I've never owned a little guy like him before.. The vet thought he had parvo based on his looks and cause he was so weak..... Almost fell over a couple of times while standing on the exam table at the vet... Vet said if he vomited or started having bloody runny poop to bring him in for parvo test..... Then gave me some high vitamin and muscle building food to feed him incase it was nutrition causing him to act that way..
Well it wasnt' parvo and we have slowly worked through being starved, scabies, depression to a happy spunky puppy who likes to play and be cute and ever.....
I never knew about these special little animals til now...... They are definatly a breed of their own.....
