it really really works. But the best of best things to do is to feed him better food. The better quality the food (ie organic/holistic/premium quality) gets digested more completely. And they really aren't interested in eating thier poop. I noticed this time around with my younger boy has only been on human grade food since I've had him, his coat is a thousand times better than when I got him, and he doesn't eat his poop (like my older one did when he was a puppy, I fed him Science diet.)
