My deepest sympathies to you over your loss. I know the pain that you are going through and of guilt that eats at you in times like this as I recently lost my best friend, Spike. It can be overwhelming at times I know... Nothing anyone here can say can take away the pain that you are feeling, but you can take comfort in knowing that you are among friends here and by sharing your feelings you are helping the healing process that is to follow. Like you, I discovered this group of caring Yorkie lovers after Spikie's accident and their compassion and support helped me cope with my devastating loss and unimaginable feelings of guilt...
I wish that I could say that those days are behind me now and that I don't feel an enormous hole in my heart where my buddy used to be... Always making me laugh and comforting me with his undying loyalty... But know that your Bella loved you as much as you loved her, and that she does not blame you for what happened, so try not to be so hard on yourself... It isn't easy... We love them so much and want to protect them from everything... But we are only human.
