Default Free Feeding Concern

My concern with free feeding is that dry food typically swells when moisture is added. For example, pup/dog eats dry food (enough to feel full), then drinks water (food swells). This could result in a swollen tummy. I haven't heard any comments on this, so I guess it's a non-issue.

I did free feed Squirt, & never had a problem. I didn't free feed Gus, because he was overweight. Gus looks like he could eat non-stop. One day I'll experiment & see when he stops eating, but the swelling of the food is a concern.
