I have the same problem with Bitsy's hair if I don't undress her at the end of the day and brush her....same thing if I leave her little pig tails in for more than a few days. It's a lot more work but I think you are supposed to brush them everyday anyway for a healthy coat...do I do that myself....I try to but don't always
I've tried using the dematting spray when I get the mats out but it seems to me it just makes it harder to get out and harder on her. I've heard you shouldn't brush them dry...but I don't know. That's how I do it. I just cannot bring myself to cut her hair off. I love her hair and I think it makes her look feminine and prissy!!!
