Just keep in mind that while brown rice is "healthier" for humans (complex carb), it is not necessarily the best choice for dogs. Simple carbs are MUCH easier for dogs to digest - they can have quite a bit of trouble w/ complex carbs and their digestive systems aren't designed to digest them easily. I would feed simple white rice or mashed potatoes when a dog is having issues.
