Duke got his when he was neutered. We are registered with Home Again also, Home Again gives you 2 IDs a year - which is great, I get to carry it in my wallet with me in case of emergency. The ID has his essential info on there and his picture too. I really like them.
We went to a local shelter/rescue organization and with the neutering and microchip came out only about $100.
