When I take him out in my arms, he trys to hide, and eventually starts crying. When I set him down on the doorstep, he huddles into a ball between my feet.
Is this normal? He is 11 weeks old. When I got Millie at 14 weeks, she just loved being out on the grass. (she had been kept in a shed in a concrete yard before I got her).
Is it just a matter of slowly perservering? |
Carry him around outside. Every few steps give him a treat. Another thing you can do is feed him all his kibble outside, so instead of treats you can feed him his kibble instead. You are trying to reinforce the idea that outside = good things.
