Interesting you mentioned thinnking shears, I wanted to know how these
were used also. Buddy has such thick hair around his neck the clipper's
wont' go threw it so I scissor it with not too much problem.

The clippers should have no problem going through the neck hair on a yorkie. What exactly are you using to clip him? what blade length is under the comb attachment? and is the comb attachment plastic or metal?
