I picked Cody up on Friday, Cinnamon who is house trained and rings the bell to tell me she wants out, totally forgot her training, she had 3 accidents on Friday and 2 on Saturday, Sunday one accident. Should I have done some type of introduction? What happened to her potty training? According to the person I got him from, he was suppose to be pad trained, but not really, but he had no issues eliminating outside, he even went to the same spot.

I think that's normal for Cinnamon to regress. If she was already potty trained then it should be easy to transition her back into being potty trained. She's probably just marking her territory since there is a new pup in her house! OR she is doing it because she sees the new dog doing it... and is smelling his smells. I would definitely try to nip it in the butt now though so it doesn't continue.

Now, Cody doesn't seem to bothered by her growls he just walks the other way. I took them for a walk w/out any issues. Outside Cody squats to pee, indoors I noticed him lifting his legs, I assume he is marking (I use vinegar & water to get rid of the smell). How do I get him to stop? I know after he is neutered, it won't necessarily stop, so I have been correcting him by saying NO and also putting him in his crate when I cannot watch him.

- After his neuter, marking should either stop completely or get better. But, when he is indoors, are you SURE it's marking and not actually peeing? Like, is he lifting his leg on corners of furniture and chairs, etc? Or is he just lifting his leg on the pad? (unless you don't use a pad, maybe I didn't read properly lol) Because Jackson will lift his leg to pee outside as well as mark but you can always tell when he's actually peeing or marking. Also, a good product to get rid of the enzymes that dogs produce in their pee that they can smell but we can't is called Nature's Miracle. But you correcting him while he does it is a GREAT thing!

He has been trying to hump her, but she will not allow it, then she trys to hump him, and he won't allow it. Is this them trying to work out who will be the pack leader? I can't really say, they are getting along, they're not really playing kind of ignoring each other, but she watches him. She growls at him when he gets to close (especially if she is chewing on a bullystick, and yes, I got it from westbrook). She also, blocks him when he is going up or down the stairs. Is there something I should or should not be doing, I try not to get involved, I was told to let them work it out and yes, he does growl back too sometimes.

- I think you're doing the right thing. I wouldn't really get involved unless it was hardcore fighting and you can see they are hurting each other. They have to teach each other things and Cinnamon is probably just letting the new dog know some of the groundrules. However, don't let her become too dominant. You definitely need to be the dominant one of BOTH of them! Growling is OK sometimes because they are letting each other know what is wrong and what is right. You can't just come take my bone... ya know. Just don't let it get too serious and be sure she never growls at YOU trying to take a bone.
Sorry, this is so lengthy, but there was so much going on the weekend. I put them on the deck, not really paying attention and stepped in the house for a second, Cody was in the backyard, I had to run around and get him, I forget he is small, he can slip through the railing. Has anyone had this issue, what do you use?

- Never had this issue as Jackson is 14lbs lol. But I know they have plastic cover-type things that you can probably get at Lowe's or a hardware store.
